Kristi Sanders is a mixed-media artist whose work explores liminal spaces, folklore, personal mythology, and narrative surrealism. She is drawn to thresholds where the known and unknown, reality and imagination, permanence and transformation converge. This fascination extends to DIY skate structures, which occupy a uniquely liminal space: evolving through collective intervention, shifting forms, and the possibility of disappearance. Inspired by folklore and the transformative power of storytelling, Sanders creates whimsical narratives populated by curious characters and otherworldly encounters. Humor often serves as an entry point into deeper themes, inviting viewers into worlds where wonder, mystery, and possibility coexist. Instagram: @krystal_in_orbit
